  Hanuman Stuti

Goshpadi kruta vaareesham masaki kruta rakshasam

ramayana maha mala ratnam vande anilatmajam

I pray to him who is born to the God of wind.

Who made the king of lakes look like the hoof of a cow,

Who made the great Rakshasas look like simple mosquitoes,

And who I pray to him who is born to the God of wind.

is the great jewel in the great garland of the story of Rama

   a model blog and dialog  vishnu sahasra nam sthothram

Vishnu sahasranama -

i heard ms subbalakshmi, free flowing of divinity

here i find a beautiful model for a blog and dialog ,ideal, if one wants to emulate

it starts with peethika, the basis,

a prayer to vishnu ''shuklambaradharam......'', and to the origin and the tradition''vyaasam, vasishista......., shakthi, parasara,shuka thatham, as the manifestation of vishnu, sarva jishnave........and a small prayerending with om namo vishnave, prabha vishnave

then the context presentation and calling  udhisthira to initiate ,...... vyshampayana uvacha

now udhisthira takes over with a few basic questions that are needed to be addressed by bhishma

1. kimEkam dhaivatam lokE?

    Who is the greatest Lord in the world?

2. kim vaapyEkam parAyaNam?

    Who is the one refuge of all?

3. stuvantam kam prApnuyuh mAnavah subham?

    By glorifying whom, can man attain peace and prosperity?

4. kam arcanat prApnuyuh mAnavaah subham?

    By worshipping whom can man reach auspiciousness?

5. kO dharmah sarva dharmANaam bhavatah paramO matah?

    What is, in thy opinion, the greatest Dharma?

6. kim japam mucyatE jantur janma samsAra bandhanAth?

    By doing Japa of what, can creature go beyond the bonds and cycle of birth and death?

now bhishma speaks ---bhishma uvacha..........Bhishma responded by reciting the one thousand names now hailed as the Vishnu Shasranama, and reminded him that either by meditating on these names or by invoking the names through archana (Offering), our minds can be lifted to higher consciousness.

but then with a prior  pause, meditation, giving the sources and credits, and the index/brief of the blog, -----rishi devatha chandas

asya sree vishno,,,,,,,,

rishi=veda vyasa

devatha=srimannarayana

chandas=anustup

and other technicalities of beejam,shakthi,manthra, keelakam,asthram, nethram, kavacham, yoni, digbandham, to be given attention, when we see this presentation, and its purpose

it is given in 108 slokas covering the 1008 namas

and then after this the benefits of the presentations are given as phala shruthi

and concludes saying ''om  nama ithi '' saying thank you this is what

now to me it appealed as a readers replies on the blog

arjuna uvacha, vyasa uvacha, parvathi uvacha, eeshwara uvacha,  brahma uvacha, sanjaya uvacha, and finally sree bhagavaan uvacha, as if responding to each of the participant at the end

i like its systematic presentation and the enormous charge of spirituality saturating every word of it

   Mangalya Prarthana

(Universal Prayer to well being from the Vedas)

Translated byP.R.Ramachander

Swasthi prajabhya paripalayantham,

Nyayena margena maheem maheesa,

Gobrahmanebhyo shubhamasthu nithyam,

Loka samastha Sukhino bhavantu.

Let good things occur to the king of the country,

Who looks after his people well, in the path of justice,

Let Cows* and Brahmins** have a pleasant life daily,

Let all people of the world have a very pleasant life.

*wealth was measured by cows in those times

** People in search of God

   Kale varshathu parjanya,

Prauthwee sasya shalini,

Deso yam kshobha rahitha,

SAjjana santhu nirbhaya

.

Let the monsoon be timely and plentiful,

Let earth be covered with vegetation,

Let the country live without problems,

And let good people never have fear.

   Kaa te kaantaa kaste putra? Sansaaro-yamateeva vichitra.

Kasya tvam ka? kuta aayaata? Tattvam chintaya tadiah bhraatah.

Meaning

Kaate = who is your;

kaantaa = wife;

kaste = who is your;

putra = son;

Sansaara = world / family;

ayam = this;

atiiva = very much;

vichitra = strange / mysterious;

Kasya = whose;

tvam = you;

 kah = who;

kutah = from where;

 aayaatah = have come;

Tattvam = truth / nature;

chintaya = think well / ponder;

 tadiha = that here;

 bhraatah = O’ brother.

A brilliant verse by Sankara to steer the seeker on the path of rational wisdom, he asks the opening questions about our closest relations. Who is your wife? Who is your son? Strange are the ways of this world; who are YOU and where have YOU come from? Brother, pause and think about the truth of your exact identity.

   skipping ''gabheere kaasaare .......................and graduating to simples SHIVA MANASA POOJA"

"Slight rewording grosser forms of worship get dropped on their own, as meditation sadhana advances finally he is in meditation all the time wherever he is

   mirror in puja

mirror in puja  we offer as in shiva manasa pooja , by  shankaracharya, relevant shloka is given here

Chathram Chamarayoryugam vyajanagam, chaa darshakam nirmalam,

Veena bheri mrudanga kahala kala geetha nruthyam thada,

Sasthangam pranthi sthuthir bahu vidha, hyethat samastham maya,

Sankalpena samapitham thava vibho , poojam gruhana prabho.

I offer you a pretty stage,

I offer you couple of decorative fans,

I also offer you shining mirror,

I offer you Veena, kettledrums, Mrudanga and a very big drum,

I offer you song and dance,

I offer you full prostration,

I offer you several types of prayers,

But all these I offer you my Lord, in my mind

So Lord kindly accept this my worship.

as per measurement theory of physics, and nyaya in vedic science attention falling on the object has the property of  ennobling effect on it

in self referral the self sees itself thus making itself more noble moment by moment.

by looking at the mirror the lord is becoming more noble

at physical level, to be more beautiful, be looking at the mirror. defects canbe rectified.

at spiritual level, if you want to be more effective, be looking at your pure self.

any defect will be rectified by the kind attention of the self ,---hence it is kind attention----

thus while spending of the rays of consciousness , the rays of attention, utmost utility shall prevail.

attention getter will be thankful, in having the attention bestowed on him.

in fact he will be prayerful, and waiting at the door of the self for perfection.

even a ray of it is enough, in giving high dignity and richness.

lakhmi kataksha, karuna kataksha, a passing brief look by the benign self, ennobles and is worhy of adoration

hence the rays of sight saturated with self become so valuable.

we become--- soon after meditation,-- ardha nimeeitha nethra,half closed eyes.

we dont like to part with the value gained

when we send out rays we become less, suffer a loss, our mind becomes impure.

   transformational leadership,''the following vedic vachan was an important course material for us , the executives at a course on

''transformational leadership,'' arranged by our ceo, to promote good, positive, supportive behavior, building team work

the result was , the company achieved the much needed turnaround and reached the yatha poorve----previous high levels of performance

i submit here,  utter necessity of such a transformation in the national scenario suffering with unending divisive tendencies, and conflicts every where on every issue ,

spirituality must help the humanity to exist and progress together

quote

''Vedas on Unity

God counsels Unity of mankind as under,

Sangachadvam Samvadadvam sam vo manaamsi janatham|

Deva bhagam yatha poorve sanjanana mupasathe|| Rigveda10.191.2

O you men! You join and live together. Talk to each other with love.

Let all your minds be common Just as the way the noble men have been doing their dutiesearlier

you also do your duties similarly.

Samanomantrah samithih samaanee samaanam manah saha chithameshaam|

Samanam mantramabhi mantraye vah samanena vo havisha juhomi|| Rigveda 10.191.13

Let all your thoughts and hymns be common.

Let all your assembly be common.

Let your austere vows and spiritual resolve be common.

May be your minds be alike and united.

I provide you all with common food and drink and needs of Life.

May you enter from all sides; merge entirely in the common consciousness.

Samaneeva akoothih samaana hridayani vah|

Samaana masthu vo mano yatha vah susahasathi|| Rigveda 10.191.14

Let, all your resolve be common.

Let, all your hearts be common.

Let, your minds be common.

Hence, let all your works be got done well.

How elevating the thoughts on Unity! Come and think over other Mantras.

Samprachadvamupa samprayatha|| Yajurveda 15.53

O man! You all join together and travel together. Not only this.

Sanjeevaa stha| Atharva 19.69.3

You all live together.

Then, what is the need to live together?

Pumaan pumamamsam pari pathu vishwathah|

Everyman should protect the other in all respects.

Sam jneedwam sam prichadvam| Atharva 6.64.1

Entertain common thoughts and be together.

The Vedic Ideal however is

Nakirdeva mini masi nakira yopayamasi mantrashruthyam charamasi|

Pakshehirapikshe bhi ratrabhi sam rabhamahe|| Rigveda 10.134.7

Hey Noble men!

We do not commit violence.

We do not hurt others.

We do not quarrel either.

We of course, chant Vedas and act according to its dictates.

We even join hands even with straw like men and act fast.

Vedas give us command,

Mitho vignana upayanthu mrithyam| Atharvaveda 6.32.3

People who quarrel among themselves become fodder to the death.

Hence, God’s children do not quarrel.

Then who are God’s children?

Tehi putraso aditevridu dweshamsi yothave|| Rigveda 8.18.5

Those who drive away the enemies and know how to keep them away are real children of God.

These are the noble and inspiring thoughts of Vedas on the subject like Unity. Such beautiful thoughts can not be seen in any books of so called religions.

one of the vital, practical aspect in the course was---- individual and group meditation--and instructions of veda apart from usual management lessons

this training proved a great assets for us , bringing in a virtually blissful environ in our routine work life transactions , more as a self improvement help personally.

   rishi maharishi   what are these great levels

Rishi = rishir darshanaat

= rishi is one who has seen (darshan) the spiritual truth=seer

his seen things, his cognitions from his inside self are darshanas

darshanas are deep laws of nature that govern the universe, the lives in the universe

and these help in living the truths, intelligently, consciously, purposefully, without ambiguity, without illusions , without lost in the mystery of the ways of the almighty

Maharishi = mahaan chaasau rishishcha

= a rishi who has seen the truth more precisely=great seer

at this level his mastery propels him to share his cognitions with outside world, he

starts teaching the science and technology of seeing, or rishiing

Rajarishi = raajaa chaasau rishishcha

= a king who has seen spiritual truth= king + seer

Devarishi = divi rishih athavaa devashchaasau rishishcha

= a rishi dwelling in the heavenly regions, or, a deva who is also a rishi =god+seer

Brahmarishi = param brahma saakshaatkrtavaan rishih

= a rishi who has seen the supreme Truth brahman=supreme+seer

who gives these nick names?

one's own self

how is it validated?

by the truths that he cognizes from within finding parallels with other similar seers.

is he not in delusion?

the subtlety of his perception does not delude him

is he not arrogant?

he sticks to truth, does not need others' approval

is this change in nickname necessary?

it is a result of his attainments, like , one gets like doctor, engineer, professor,

pandit. comes unasked, unassumed, the internal university awards this promotion.

like in education, sadhana has stages, the ability to see increases , gradually,

continuously, yet some mile stones are discernible

one does not become a rishi or brahmarshi overnight, it takes intense inputs of

sadhana, tapasya, and soon one grows stage by stage.

it is too like primary to matriculate, to graduate to pg to doctorate levels

at one stage the student learns the alphabet, and grows to read primary books,

then to books of higher standard ,

and a stage will come when he teaches,

in school, then in a college, then grows to become a professor in the university.

 in the same way the sadhak learns all in his internal school,

internal university and gains the ability to read inner scriptures

and then grows to become an exponent,

a teacher to enlighten the world towards better life

is he well versed in vedas?

he will not learn by reading or listening the vedas but he is well versed in reading the vedas , vedic truths, vedic richas from his inside

this is the essential difference between rishi and pandit

does he conform to any standards of living, dress code, food, dwelling, ?

his living , spontaneously will be in accord with laws of nature without he conforming to any impositions from external standards

world takes him seriously?

he is not serious about the perception of the ignorant persons,

like a medical doctor is not concerned about an opinion of 8th class student about his having the title as dr

but those who have sufficient depth of perception do know his worth, value his abilities and thus get benefitted by his teachings

Well i have answered myself the validity of my title rishi.

and am in the process of becoming maharishi ,

though it may take a little more inputs to grow into a full ,

the signals from my inside self indicate

that i did graduate rishi level

and just making an entrance into maharishi domain ,

at the doorstep, at the threshold,

yet having a definite peep into the class room,

Just as an engineering student is called engineer soon after joining the engg coll,

i acquired the title to grow into maharishi ,

it is an ideal, it's an idea, it's a seed,

but it did sprout ,

soon becomes the plant ,

and in due course it expands,

flourishes with full of flowers, fruits, leaves

and plenty cool shade,

taking in the abundant showers of guru grace

Do not make a friend or an enemy of an evil person. [Because] a burning coal burns, cold [coal] blackens the hand. (Hitopadesh 1:79)

How should we deal with an evil person? Maybe if we are friends with them, we may get benefits of their evil schemes? Or should we be enemy to them?

A piece of burning coal, cinder, will burn our hands. But a cold coal blackens the hand, makes it dirty. Similarly, making enemy of an evil person will cause us harm. Making friends with them will give us ill-repute. So we should avoid them altogether as much as possible.

   sanskrit is one root language , ie vedic sanskrit, became many and many dialects,--distorted, worn-out, deshaped, adulterated, even largely nullified by history geography, races, colors, thru ages, by just matter of necessity, expediency, urgency, inevitable need to communicate ever since a child is born on the earth , but even a meaningless cry of a child conveys a lot ,meets his need, even a bird tweeting, crow cawing, lion roaring have meaning and their own way to communicate

I prefer all people to talk in vedic sanskrit, including animals, birds, trees --since i know the greatness of vedik sanskrit

but how far my fancy is logical, practical, ??

let's be happy that we have a few hundred langs, a few thousand dialects, a few lakh communication ways-- things are meeting the requirements tho not perfectly but optimally.

we must see world of communication in zoom out , and it will appear that things are ok

Also edu is one to get knowledge

though ugc is there is there only one university? is there one course? how many branches how many levels from lkg how many universities, how many colleges, teachers, institutes big small miniature, , spread over how many cities countries, villages, homes

is it possible to teach one edu by one professor to all in the world??

So is the case of religion spiritual paths, temples prayer places, pilgrimages, idols, gurus, traditions, saints 33 crore gods what for ?why not a single parabrahm

why several writers ? Why variety of views ?

world is a open varsity, not uni,

and we are all blessed to be in this versity of variety and versatility.

god is great, he produced you and me and others, and ananthakoti jeevas too

and two different individuals having two eyes hands legs face , but you and me are not same how why think further , probably you might see a bigger view of religion like edu which i described

of course logical, we need not have to agree, we will never agree, yet we shall walk together with 1mm distance between us as a minimum.
